Devry gets no stars from me!

Posted by upsetwoman on 9/2/2009

I graduated from this school in 2006. I'm a single parent and spent alot of money here and didn't learn anything. I have a degree but I don't know anything. I'm still in the field that I was in for 16 years. This school didn't have anything in the computer lab so you can get the hands on experience you needed. At least 5 people that graduated with me feel the same way. One of them joined the Army because they didn't want to pay the student loans back. Another one is a construction worker. He gave up! My degree is in a box because I feel like I didn't accomlish anything. Instructors were hired part time that worked in the field but didn't know how to teach. I'm paying my student loans back for an education I didn't get. I don't recommend anyone to go to this school. Go to ITT Tech and try them. DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!!!!!!1

Terrible!

Complete waste of time and money

Posted by lmnop26 on 7/29/2008

I attended this rip off of a school for just a few semesters, only took 6 classes, and now owe over $12,000 in student loans. The teachers are clueless, the office staff is even more clueless....they just want your money (and lots of it). Nobody knows what is going on...they messed up my financial aid, trying to charge me for room and board (don't even ask me why they would charge anyone that for an online school!). The teachers don't know how to teach...I took one class that I was completely lost in (along with the rest of the class) because the teacher taught us NOTHING, and got the highest grade in the class and left with zero knowledge of what the class topic was. You don't earn your degree there, you pay for it.

Good school, very expensive

I been attendin g Devry for 1 year and will be completing my Bachelors in December. I think it's a really good school. The teachers are very helpful. However I do think that it is VERY expensive $500+ per credit!

Good company

Ok organization. The students don't get enough training before they take advanced courses. Need to work out the bugs
