I've lived here in Atlanta for a year now, and was having such a hard time trying to find an actual Dominican stylist. I'm African American and originally from New York, where there are a lot of Dominicans that do the real Dominican style. Finally, I've found a salon that can do my hair right! I highly recommend Dominican Touch Beauty Salon. Ask for Cruz, she's the best!

What I love about the Dominican Touch salon is the punctuality. Twice a month I have to go out of the state and sometimes is a Friday or a Saturday and I will make my appointment for 7:00am.. I get there @ 6:55am and there's someone already waiting for me. They will go above and beyond for their customers. I love it! Also the quality and the time that they spend pampering me. Great job and very professional.

Ive been going to dominican touch for a few years now, I love the work I get. I get my hair washed and set, and get perms done. It is very expensive, $65 for a perm, and $40 to wash and set is above average prices, but I know I will leave satisfied and get great results. I go to noone else but Cruz. Maria and the other girl (Noemi) I think... are not dominican so Im not sure why they are working at a salon where people expect to have dominicans working on your hair since its called Dominican Touch. They seem very inexperienced despite how much they believe they know. Whenever a client stands up from their chair they seem accomplished but the client seems disappointed and the truth is the results do not look great. For the better of the business I would truly consider finding more dominican stylists. Buford highway has a fantastic Dominican Salon everyone is dominican and the environment is festive. However Cruz herself is excellent she knows very well what shes doing, she does exactly what you ask her to do, and she is extremely nice. I would recomment going there and going to cruz for excellent results with your hair.

I went here in search of a good, less busy (than Lilly's), Dominican salon. In need of someone to really look at and assess my hair's health. I will give them this - they are very nice, very consultative, and sounded very knowledgeable. If it wasnt for them, I wouldnt know about Salerm - a really good haircare line. However, they are definitely not the best in Atlanta as they advertise. There were 3 stylists that I saw there - Cruz, Maria, and another (didnt get her name). Maria was my stylist and I saw Cruz's work - neither were very good in the styling department. This is the place to go if you don't mind spending $35 for a wash n set or $65 for a perm, then have to style your hair again once you leave. Also, never never never get a relaxer from Maria. I hate writing this because again they were very nice. However, bad is bad and she is not good at relaxers! She is slow roller setting and slow putting in the chemical - not good!!! The back of my head was burning before she finished putting the perm in the front. The bigger problem was that she did not see anything wrong with her technique and said she has been there for 5 years.
